Homelander is the main antagonist of The Boys, and the best way to describe him would be to call him a violent and unstable Superman variant. He possesses superhuman strength, speed, durability, stamina, flight, and heat vision, and although he could decimate most anime characters in a one-on-one fight, there are a few outliers who could take him on.

Several of these characters are villains in their respective universes, but an unlikely professional hero could beat the comic book antagonist, too. Some of these familiar faces could beat Homelander with a single attack, but others would need to be a bit more creative. One protagonist, in particular, could beat Homelander with a notebook.

Saitama Would Destroy Homelander With a Single Punch

There are quite a few anime protagonists with god-like power, and Saitama from One-Punch Man is one of them. Saitama possesses immeasurable superhuman strength, reflexes, speed, and durability, all of which surpass Homelander’s. Anos Voldigoad is the main protagonist of The Misfit of Demon King Academy, and he is one of the strongest undefeated characters in anime. His power is destruction itself, and he has a variety of high-level spells at his disposal, but he could defeat Homelander without using any of them. Anos possesses the Magic Eyes of Destruction, which have the power to destroy anything in his line of sight.

All Anos would need to do is look at Homelander, and the battle would be over. If, for some reason, that does not work, Anos can simply summon his sword, Venuzdonoa. This demonic sword has the power to destroy anything in existence, including immortal beings and indestructible objects. Even if Homelander could find a way to make himself immortal, Anos can still cut him down with a single swing of his sword.

Mu Can Disintegrate Homelander With a Single Jutsu

Mu was the 2nd Tsuchikage, making him one of the strongest ninja from the Hidden Stone Village. He was known as the “Non-Person” because of his ability to completely erase his physical presence. Even with his superhuman senses, Homelander should not be able to detect Mu. Granted, Homelander’s X-Ray Vision could work, but only if he already suspected Mu was nearby.

Mu is one of only two ninja who can use Dust Release, a Kekkei Tota that allows him to create three-dimensional shapes that rapidly move and expand. If Homelander gets caught inside one of these objects when it expands, his body will disintegrate at a molecular level near-instantaneously. All Mu has to do is conceal his presence, wait, and hit Homelander with a surprise Dust Release attack. It should be enough to turn the powerful baddie into dust.

Kai Chisaki Can Blow Homelander’s Body Apart With His Overhaul Quirk

Kai Chisaki is a former Yakuza leader who wields one of My Hero Academia‘s most destructive Quirks. Overhaul gives Kai the ability to disassemble anything he touches with his hands, and he can reassemble things however he likes. In essence, Kai has the power to manipulate matter itself, and since Homelander’s body is made of physical matter, it will definitely work on him. That said, it will be very risky because Kai would need to get within arm’s reach of Homelander.

If Kai touches Homelander for even a split second, his Overhaul Quirk will activate and blow Homelander’s superhuman body apart. If given the opportunity, Kai can use his Quirk to absorb Homelander and all of his powers. Kai can make things a bit easier for himself by touching the earth and creating stone obstacles and restraints that would stall Homelander long enough for Kai to touch him with his Quirk.

Normally, Homelander would not be able to see Ryuk unless he is holding or using Ryuk’s Death Note, but for this match-up, it is best to assume Homelander can see him. Unfortunately, this would not do much to help Homelander because Ryuk is immune to all forms of physical damage, which means all of Homelander’s attacks would be useless.

Ryuk can see Homelander’s real name thanks to his Shinigami eyes. If Ryuk writes this name in his Death Note, Homelander will suffer a fatal heart attack after 40 seconds. Lelouch is the main protagonist of Code Geass and one of the most popular Shonen characters from the 2000s. He might be a genius and master strategist, but Lelouch is still an ordinary human, which means Homelander would tear him apart with ease. Fortunately, Lelouch possesses a supernatural eye ability called “Geass.” With it, Lelouch can plant a command inside Homelander’s mind.

This ability triggers through direct eye contact, which means Homelander would not be able to avoid it in time. Lelouch can only issue one command per person, so he would need to make it count. Like most Logia users, Kizaru benefits from intangibility, which means most attacks that are not infused with Haki safely phase through his body.

Since Homelander cannot use Haki, neither his punches nor his heat vision blasts would affect Kizaru. It should be noted that Kizaru can move at the speed of light, which is much faster than Homelander’s maximum speed, so there is a good chance Homelander would never touch him anyway. The force of Kizaru’s light-speed kicks would be enough to hurt Homelander. Kizaru’s lasers are made of pure light and can pierce through virtually anything, including Homelander’s durable body, so a few well-placed shots would take him down.
